The sixties and early seventies were a wonderful free spirited time for concert poster artists like Rick Griffin, Stanley Mouse, Alton Kelly,Victor Moscosso,and Wes Wilson, Known as the "Big Five" They were responsible for much of the concert poster art created in this period. Music concerts at venues like the Filmore West and the avalon ballroom were depicted in posters created by these artists. Classic rock posters have become an art form in themselves. Concert posters and those of individual rock artists of the 60' s to the present day, are highly sought after and rare. Many are signed by the artist and are numbered limited editions.
